My name is Djolle, I'm Dublin based drummer, producer and short film music composer.
I started playing drums at age of 15 in local rock bands. Soon after i got interest in various music styles including latin, jazz and ethnic music. Balkans traditional music introduced me to the world of odd rhythm signatures and polyrhythmic at very early stage. Beside drums I can sing lead/backing vox, play giutar, bass and harmonica.
I have worked with lots of bands and gained a reputation for being reliable drummer with solid groove, amazing reflexes in real-time on-stage communication, great friend and band member, accomplished musician. Drumming brought me to Ireland in 2007.
With local bands, i played all Dublin pubs (Mezz, The Porterhouse, Dorans, Village...), Vicar Street; various festivals: Eurocultured, Knockan Stockan, Electric Picnic, residency at Whelans, residency at Tripod...
I've played everything from dirty punk-rock clubs via big music festivals with couple thousands of people, to 5 star hotel weddings.
Like a chameleon, I can adopt to any music situation, as i love music and playing drums!
I play Sonor snare drums, Zildjian K and A custom cymbals, Vicfirth drumsticks, various brands of kits (Pearl, Sonor, Premier)
